As the farm gears up for the fall sales, we've got two new interns from the Kentucky Equine Management Internship who are with us for the season.  Read on to learn a little more about them!

Cristina recently completed her second bachelor’s degree in Equine Science at Colorado State University. Her first was in Economics from the University of New Mexico. She has always had a strong connection to horses and has pursued several areas of interest within the horse industry including working as a groom for Grand Prix level riders and trainer in Santa Fe, New Mexico, being part of an E.A.G.A.L.A. certified team, and involved in a research project detecting sub-fertility in stallions using flow cytometry. She is highly motivated to expand on her existing knowledge and skills to develop her career and earn her place in the Equine industry.

Brynna will be a senior at Louisiana State University pursuing a degree in Animal Science. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago where she developed a passion for horses. Through vacations and summer camps, she gained hands on experience riding both Western and English saddles. It wasn't until college that she started jumping lessons through a professional trainer. Her desire to work around horses grew after she heard of the KEMI opportunity. Now, she has plans to finish her degree and move back to Kentucky to be around these stunning athletes. She believes the amount of heart that these horses demonstrate in their desire to win will ultimately be the biggest reward of all.
